Re: Which Software to Install First?

I have a pretty similar setup. The BlisSTer will work with any USB controller the MiSTer supports. That's almost all of them, with a notable exception or two. 1. Download the Update_All script here: https://github.com/theypsilon/Update_All_MiSTer 2. Configure Update_All to download the LLAPI cores. 3. The BlisSTer should include a short cable with...

Which Software to Install First?

As I understand it there's software I need to download for the BlisSTer LLAPI or whatever the fuck. Then there's the normal MiSTer software to get the thing going with all of the cores. My set-up is a Blisster, DE10 Nano, Analog IO, 128 MB of RAM, and heatsink. Although I have a Blisster I don't have any bliss controllers yet. Just to hold me until...

Re: Is MiSTer FPGA Overkill For My Needs?

Even if you don't like fighting games... those millisecs do matter on games like Megaman, Donkey Kong, to some degree Sonic and other platformers. Imagine missing a jump no several in Megaman 1-3, whiffed jump equals DEATH! I don't recall the number of millisecs you have to deal with in regards to the Pi, I do recall seeing several video reviews of...

Re: SCART RGB Lead for the MiSTer Analog I/O

My set-up is on a Sony PVM with BNC for RGB, paired with a SCART Matrix switcher. I already have one of these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193398140176?hash=item2d076d6d10:g:tQQAAMXQAEFSD-4B Therefore I'll need the input for the Mister I/O to be VGA while the output is SCART. Ahh fair enough. If you don't have any luck with ordering from Retro Access...

Re: SCART RGB Lead for the MiSTer Analog I/O

From what I've seen, they're planning on opening back up for orders tomorrow (May 2nd, 2021) so I'd check back then. But if you don't have luck with them, the good news is pretty much any cable capable of carrying RGBs that has the H-sync line connected to SCART output's sync line will do. The cables are just sets of conductors with no other compo...

SCART RGB Lead for the MiSTer Analog I/O

I seek an csync/rawsync VGA to RGB SCART cable in NTSC. Retro Access sells hq ones but they can't be ordered until a few months from now.

Are there other places I can get such a cable? I tried ebay but I'm not exactly sure the quality of those cables.

WTF the PC Engine Duo CD library is that huge in GB?! Here I thought they were Sega CD or Neo Geo CD size.

USPS Slow Mail

Anyone else experiencing mail delays? I just ordered all of my parts for the MiSTer FPGA device and only got two. The others are on a 4 week delay. The tracking states the same message for each item. In Transit, Arriving Late Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility. What...

Re: File Size For Entire Library of Cores and ROMs on MiSTer?

Narrowing my search for now, how many GB are we looking at with the golden age consoles/arcade? (with some PC stuff sprinkled in) I'm talking Mega Drive/Genesis, Mega CD, 32X, SNES, NES, Neo Geo, SMS, Neo Geo CD, CPS1, CPS2, Windows XP, '95, '98, 3.1x, MSX, SS16, Gameboy, Game Gear, GBA. mine are as follows:- Mega Drive/Genesis (inc 32x) - 6gig Me...

Re: File Size For Entire Library of Cores and ROMs on MiSTer?

Whoa! Here I'm thinking these old ass machines were like MB that needed to be converted into certain images and zipped to reduce file size. I had no idea I was dealing with the raw libraries for these items. As for the PC systems libraries, I under-estimated. Narrowing my search for now, how many GB are we looking at with the golden age consoles/ar...

File Size For Entire Library of Cores and ROMs on MiSTer?

Howdy!

What does the entire library of cores and roms amount to for the MiSTer FPGA? Would it come to a TB or two?

I'm shopping around for micro sd cards, but I'm not sure how large of a storage I'll need.
