Maybe we could sell empty Player Cassettes (or "MIDI Cassette" in this case) for this specific purpose for people who already have most of the hardware? Does that make any sense?

You know, I have been looking at this for some time now and it should be possible to make a dedicated Player Cassette with built in display and everything.

you cant do custom cartridges on a per customer basis obviously, so there has to be some kind of middleground solutions. I would sell it standard with a placeholder cartridge with nothing in it for people that wont be using it anyway and do a "Add Optional Cartridge" PSX and Saturn also yes, I was mostly thinking of supported cores right...

What time of power connector does this use? I can see some sort of barrel connector on the back of the PCB, is it the same setup as the DE10-Nano? I currently use a splitter on mine to also power the USB board, I'd assume due to this being a customised setup that it will only need a single input with everything else being taken care of by whatever...

Yes, we thought it would be easier for the end user to handle. If you use microSD you can just use a adaper card for it.

There will be a power switch on the back, yes.

Really can't wait for this to be ready!! Seriously, due to how impressed I am with Mike's work on cases for audio equipment and how much I'm liking the look of DaemonBite I'd seriously be happy to pre-order and pay now even though I know it may not be out until the end of the year. Honestly, it's the only reason I've not bought any DaemonBite hard...

Here are also some more pics. More detailed pic of the add-on pcb. One USB-jack will face inwards for adding WiFi or Bluetooth addon (it sits inside so no one takes it during tournaments or if you are at a gathering or whatever). Small update. This is just an early render of the pcb design of the MSTR (just so you get the overall idea of what it will look like).
