Re: Atari 7800 / 2600

How does the integrated save key work? I tried playing some games that offer that support and it didn't save and I didn't see an option for a save key in the OSD. Also, is it possible to add Harmony support for the 2600 side? That would make this amazing core even better! The savekey is a curious accessory that plugs into the (usually) the second ...

Weird disk saving issue

I started to play Briley Witch Chronicles and I saw a problem where sometimes it would hang on the saving screen. This would happen with either the standard bios or jiffy dos, the Japanese bios, and also the C64GC bios. Sometimes it would save and other times it will just hang on the saving screen. At first I thought this was a Briley Witch issue, ...

Have you turned that on in the options? If not, try pressing up on the controller when you start the update_all script and navigating to that option in the settings menu.

Re: My *.hdf drive wont boot after latest update

I have upgraded the main MiSTer and I can still run the older minimig core that is compatible with all hdf files. Is it possible for a future update to have the new features and still be compatible with all of the hdf files. I have a large collection of hdf files that are single games that work great and would love to keep that going forward.

Re: My *.hdf drive wont boot after latest update

I can't get my hdf files working on this core. I keep getting the screen that tells me to place a disk in the drive. The prior core works, but this one does not.

I would love to see classic Atari games like I, Robot, Peter Pack Rat, Marble Madness, Crystal Castles, Liberator, etc and some of their prototype games like Qwak, Maze Runner, etc. I also would love more Universal Games like Mr Do's Castle, Mr Do's Wild Ride, Do Run Run, and Jumping Jack. I would love to see Exidy games like Pepper II, Mouse Trap,...

Re: Preserving Arcade Core High Scores

I notice on the High Score list on GitHub that Food Fight is listed as having high score support. I can't get this one to save. Is this a mistake on the GitHub or am I doing something wrong?

If so how do i get it working ?

Thanks

The high score saving does work on the Berserk / Frenzy core. What you need to do is after you get the high score go to the OSD and save your core settings. This is how you save all of the arcade high score settings.

Gmod2 file implementation. Is it possible?

I recently bought the digital version of Monstro Gigante and it came with both a Easy Flash crt and also a Gmod2 crt file. They state to use the Gmod2 file for the Vice emulator as it will save your progress. Is it possible to get this format working on the MiSTer core?

Re: Preserving Arcade Core High Scores

Thank you for all of your work on this. This really is awesome. If I can make a request I would love to see high score support in Food Fight, Rally X, and Turtles. I'm sure there are more, but those are the games that come to mind.

Re: Preserving Arcade Core High Scores

I love the high score preserving on the MiSTer. This has been a game changer in my opinion. I did notice that Solar Fox now has a green background with some graphical glitches. Not sure what happened, but I would love for this to be fixed.

If I remember correctly the Apple II core used to have two floppy drives. Is it possible to get that implemented in again? I bought Nox Archaist and that requires two disks in the drives to load from.

Re: Where's the Speccy love?

I think it might be F9 or maybe F10 on the keyboard if my memory serves me correctly as I haven't played the ZX Spectrum core on the MiSTer in a week or so. You can change your disk image while a games is running and then press one of those function keys (it might even be F11) and it will reboot.

Is it possible to bring the load bios option back to the OSD? Anytime I experienced some issues with a game not loading, I could change the bios and reload it and it would usually work.

I completely agree with you. Exidy, Universal, Atari System 1 and System 2, Earlier Atari hardware, Irem, Taito, Sega, Stern, Orca, Bally Midway, Data East, etc would be great to explore. I also love all of the old bootlegs as well. It was a crazy time for arcades.

Wallpaper Request

I was thinking about wallpapers today because of all of the amazing new wallpapers that are coming out and was wondering if it would be possible to have a new feature for the MiSTer where we could have a folder named "Backgrounds" or "Wallpapers" where we can save all of these wallpapers that we could cycle through with the F1 k...
