Re: antoniovillena.es

I was finally going to my dream MiSTer kit from you, but it seems like you only sell it with SDRAM now... (BTW, bug report: the announce still says "This kit doesn’t include DE10 nano or SDRAM module.", even though that is no longer true. Is there any chance you would consider still selling a kit without SDRAM? Yes. You are the 3rd perso...

Re: Composite Adapter for MiSTer

The whole issue by the way, is not about the flaw itself but about stubborn refusal to admit that it exists, plus the misleading and dishonest info on the product's webpage . I don't know what you win spreading bullshits here and in other forums against me: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=46712#p46712 There is no dishonest i...

Re: Composite Adapter for MiSTer

My adapter has not any issue. all adapters have the same issue. This is surreal :) Unfortunately I might actually need one of these adapters soon, so still would like to find out what the score really is. It seems impossible to do so in this bizarre thread, so if anybody has one and uses it to display composite on a CRT I'd appreciate if you could...

How is the integration with the framework? Hopefully it's not too intrusive so may be submitted as a pull request?
According with Sorgelig is not on framework

Re: Composite Adapter for MiSTer

How will this work with PAL/NTSC selection? For example NTSC (60hz) output on the core but PAL subcarrier freq on VSYNC (PAL60)? An extra core option? To be honest, I always thought the core descriptions were misleading as really they select 50/60hz, not PAL and NTSC. In this case it would be very confusing. Yes. The core has an option to activate...

Re: Composite Adapter for MiSTer

If you talk about "fixing it" then how can it be "normal"? Your explanation in the tweet says it's normal for FPGA, but this obviously does not make it any less of a problem. Unless you are talking about fixing the flaws inherent to composite, which were present on original hardware (though then it wouldn't be "same as ori...

Re: Composite Adapter for MiSTer

It would help to have a core generated colour subcarrier clock to use instead of external timing but since it would interfere with the framework, it's likely never going to be added I have added to my hardware but the problem it's the main team of MiSTer don't want to adapt the cores to generate this signal. This solved on other FPGA products I se...

But the main point is that there is a flaw in the first place. Your description on the website does not mention it at all. You also said it's possible to correct it via hardware, and will do so in the next edition. Selling the inferior unit in this situation does not seem fair. If I just bought it it'd be useless because then I'd have to buy anoth...

Yes, that's the idea. And the switching time is measured in nanoseconds, so you can read both ports very fast.

Hi Antonio , I would like to understand how a DB9 port with only 9 pins can be read as two separated controllers You have the hardware here for schematics and pcb files. Re: SNAC 6 button support?

I don't know whether there's any circuitry between the DB-9 and user I/O - I suspect there is. But the plans are public, and don't require any tools which cost money, so whoever created the DB-9 version of hardware can certainly make use of the important parts if they wish. Yes. There are protection diodes (BAT54s). I have modified your version to...

The main problem with official SNAC is there are not level shifters on IO board, so you need an extra board to do level shifting and another one to change USB3 connector to native one

Re: Original controllers - SNAC vs. USB?

Does that mean only the Genesis controller works on all cores and for NES, SNES, PC Engine and NeoGeo controllers they only work on their own cores with SNAC enabled? Yes. To guarantee zero lag you need to use native controller. For example if you want zero lag with the NES core you need to use NES controller with SNAC. But in our fork we have imp...
