Re: ISO CD's Do Not Work

Still not working for me unfortunately. Copied MiSTer to my SD card (after renaming my existing one to MiSTer.bak). My existing AO486 setup no longer detected my CD-ROM drive and the top 300 DOS vhd failed when trying to read mounted .cue files as well. Are you well using the latest unstable AO486 build ? Will check the one I use after work but to...

Re: ISO CD's Do Not Work

Yesterday; I tried the latest unstable AO486 build with the latest main mister and I was totally impressed by the results. I tested several CD games (ISO & BIN/CUE) and all worked great : Lost in time, KGB, Albion, Fascination, Gabriel Knight, Dreamweb... Being a fan of Point & Click and (some) RPG games, I'm so happy to see those CD versio...

Re: UK Available Direct Video Adapter

I do confirm that the model shown by Xbytez works, I have the same. For the other one, I do not know as I do not have it but I prefer anyway the 1st one to avoid having constrains on the HDMI port of the Mister. I do not like to have a direct adapter on the HDMI port (same for USB etc), I prefer to have a piece of cable to avoid to much stress on t...

@vanfanel,

Have you tried what I suggested ? I mean use another PSU (the one from your other Mister where you did not notice this behavior for instance) ?

Re: Avoid AntonioVillena’s Products at All Cost

No idea, really. Asked him time ago and didn't give a clear answer. But yes, it was strong enough to feel it every time it happened. There was a LOT of static on the case, too. Never had incompatiblity issues with other MiSTer setups (I have one from UltimateMister and like 3 from RetroCastle), only with AntonioVillena's ones. Ok, so most probably...

Re: Avoid AntonioVillena’s Products at All Cost

Hello @vanfanel, Thank you for your feedback. I cannot judge about the one from Antonio Villena as mines come formUltimateMister & Manuferhi and I agree, I've never had any compatibility issues as you faced in. Just one question, how is it possible that you receive an small electric shock, I mean strong enough to fell it with an input voltage o...

Re: Wai wai worlds and wagyan games not working?

Thank you @MostroW, All the versions I have, have differents SHA1 and none of them work obviously. Where did you find those 3 versions if I can ask ? EDIT : Never mind, I found on my archives the working versions of Wagyan games. Unfortunately I do not remember where they came from. I guess it was the same source as you :-) So WaiWai and Wagyan all...

Re: Wai wai worlds and wagyan games not working?

@Magnitudeten, I do confirm that WaiWai World games (Japan version as those I my favorite ones) work as they should. No issue at all on my side. Just need to mask both edges. Regarding the other games I do confirm the same issue, wagyan games get corrupted graphics and I"m even not able to control the player, I tried several roms but always th...

Re: Well Nobody Saw This Coming! Nintendo 64 Core Announced

For sure, there are plenty of games to enjoy with. Seeing the bad picture I have on my LCD TV with my N64, I'm really looking forward to play all the N64 games that I like (and for sure discover new ones) in better condition with my Mister. Congratulation to the dev for what he's being doing. All new cores, all new upgrades, improvement are always ...

Re: .SNA to Spectrum core format

Sna is a terible format. Its from the early days of spectrum emulation and should never be used now. Agree, my intention was not to use this format absolutely. It is just because it is what I found on my old CD bought long time ago and wanted to save it to play the games on my Mister. BUT, one more time, I feel stupid , let me explain why. I have ...

Re: .SNA to Spectrum core format

The core is able to run .sna files ("Load Snapshot *Z80, SNA" in OSD), I've just tried to load a few and they work ok. Did you try your snapshots in an emulator? Yes the .sna files (which are on my CD) work with the emulator SpecEmu V3.2. specemu SNA.JPG I do confirm as well that none of them work on the Mister by using OSD load SNA, jus...

.SNA to Spectrum core format

Hello everyone, I found in my old original CDs, a C64+Spectrum CD called Retro Gold that I bought many years ago. On this CD there are emulators (C64 & Spectrum for PC & Amiga) and a lot of games for those 2 systems. My idea was to try the games on my Mister after having transfered all the disk images to my external SSD. For the C64, there ...

Re: C64 Support Real Tape Datasette

Hello @maliniak, Wow thank you for this information, I've been looking for this kind of add-on since a while. It would be nice to see this implemented on the Mister, and not only for the C64 but also for the COCO2/3 core well I'd say for all cores capable to read real tapes. Question: Is the 5V coming from an external power supply ? Here "only...

Re: MD/Genesis Based Arcade Boards (SEGA System C & Mega Play)

Thunderforce AC is available on the Saturn as part of the Thunder Force Gold Pack. I haven't checked if it's playable on the MiSTer Saturn core. I tested both Thunder Force Gold Pack 1 & 2 (JP version) yesterday and I do confirm that they work like a charm on the Mister with the latest Saturn core. Thanks for reminding that those games were on...

@HerrBerzerk,
Have you tried DISKPART (under CMD) ?
Sometimes the usual format doesn't work while DISKPART could do it. (I had several times the case)
Just need to pay attention by playing with this command, because for the same price, you can destroy your local drive :-)

Re: C64 Tape loading using real Tapes

I don’t get that far lol, either the screen stays blue or the basic appears with gargled text In this case, either your tape player has azimuth issue or you did not set the correct volume level. Let's try with your mobile, download a WAV of a K7 game and connect your mobile earphone to the ADC of the Mister (Assuming that you still have an earphon...

Re: C64 Tape loading using real Tapes

Hi @Beaps,

There is a while that I didn't play with real tapes with the C64 core, but so far I remember I had no issue when I did it.
See also this video from NML32 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvtQIBmj_DM

I'll double check this evening but to me it should work. (Of course by adjusting the volume in a proper way but should work in my opinion)

Is there already a shared spreadsheet listing the apps/games which are or aren't working under the core ? Or has it to be created ?

Issue with EuroProf software on Tandy 1000

Hello Everyone, I own several 5"1/4 that I was using when I was at school on my Tandy 1000HX, they are called EuroProf software. They are educational software relatively well done (unfortunately they are only in French) Anyway, in a preservation aim, I dumped them to several 360kb disk images. I then wanted to run them on my Mister and I faced...
