OK, thanks. I saw discussion here in the forum about the new framework but I didn't see a mention of ini changes.

Re: MiSTerFPGA Y/C Out Module (Direct - S-Video / Composite Output) - Update

Hi Mike, I used Update All about 12 hours ago, and it removed most of the YCConsole cores and added links to empty folders. I noticed you posted something on Twitter about removing the cores from the repository because the main repo's cores have the new framework, but unless I'm missing something the main cores can't yet be switched to YC output......

Re: Update All 2.0 Is Here

Update All removed most of the cores in the YCConsole folder and added links to empty folders. As far as I can tell, the YC functionality isn't yet included in most of the standard console cores, at least I couldn't find the YC option in the menus...

Re: Starting Out With MiSTer From an Old School Collection

You might want to go with something like the Raphnet PS adapter:
https://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/p ... /index.php
Don't see that particular adapter on the MiSTer Controller Latency page, but Raphnet adapters are generally low lag, wheras generic adapters can have higher lag:

I seem to remember watching a video on YouTube at least 5 years ago (maybe as many as 10 years ago) about someone trying to preserve Pole Position using FPGA or something, but can't find it now.

What's wrong with it? It might be repairable, seems a waste to take out those parts when you can get them on Aliexpress for a few dollars shipped.

Re: Special/Interesting controllers for MiSTer

You can make an external adapter for the JogCon, no modification of the actual pad necessary :-) Edit - just got home and found the picture I made as a reference... A note i left to myself after reading on the old forum was to use an ItsyBitsy board by Adafruit, as it has the correct 3.3v on it. I used a cheap PS1 to USB adapter for the housing an...

It would be kinda nice as an option, assuming it's possible to implement. There's already plenty of things about MiSTer that are better/different than original hardware.

But I wouldn't blame anyone if they didn't want to spend time working on it.

Re: Some Games not Running

Got Star Parodier working after ripping it again with TurboRip and changing the bios to the 3.01 one from the bios folder (that might have been the one that I was using in the first place if it's the default one used by the core). There was also a recent core update, so not sure exactly what fixed it.

Not sure if I'm having the same problem, but my copy of Soldier Parodier that I ripped myself using TurboRip isn't working for some reason, it just hangs at "Just a moment" on the BIOS screen, which says "3.00" FWIW. Haven't had any problems with any other games yet. Will try another BIOS and/or another rip and see if it fixes t...

Can I make the screen bigger on my sony pvm? It has 800 lines of resolution and can do the following resolutions. 480/60i, 575/50i, 1035/60i, 1080/50i, 1080/60i, and 720/60p. Thank you in advance That PVM will most likely force a letterbox image when it receives an HD signal, unfortunately. When feeding it 240p or 480p you can use the service menu...

Ok, seems to be working now after running Update_all 2.0 (Had to disconnect my MiSTer from my setup and take it into the room with my router to connect it to the internet).

Hmm, I'm getting a different hash for avsp.zip, and the PC Downloader isn't grabbing a new copy, I assume because I haven't had the opportunity to directly connect my MiSTer to the internet and use Update_All 2.0 yet. Guess I'll have to try that sometime.

I have qsound.zip in the \games\mame folder, have tried the alternative roms, but still no sound in any version of Aliens VS Predator. Looked around in the settings but didn't find anything that fixed the sound. Tried several other CPS2 games, and all the ones I tried output sound fine.

My Mitsubishi PC CRT doesn't like direct analog from the X68000 core either, I think the distortion is similar to what you're describing except it's VERY pronounced and pretty much unusable. Same thing happens with linedoubled R-Type (Japan) but not R-Type (World) for some reason. WIll need to try more cores. Apparently this was caused by the Japa...

Re: MiSTerFPGA Y/C Out Module (Direct - S-Video / Composite Output) - Update

I ended up having the exact same sync problems you did, and I also tried just about all ini setting and SOG switch combinations (except I didn't think to try turning composite sync off). Used a multimeter to verify that all the pins were wired correctly and that there were no shorts, so I dunno what the problem could be. I used different VGA pins ...

I got in touch with Mike on discord and he instructed me on how to build the cable: VGA Pin #1 (Red) connects to SVIDEO Chroma (NW) VGA Pin #2 (Green) connects to SVIDEO Lu...

Thanks, I found a couple different cables on Amazon with either BNC or RCA connectors on one end and a 4-Pin S-Video connector on the other, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0923RLTXQ So that would probably work in combination with one of my VGA to BNC adapters, but then I remembered I had an extra D-SUB 15 screw terminal kit in my...

I was thinking about making my own cable too, but I've got enough projects to finish as it is.

I already have a VGA to component adapter, so I just need a component to S-Video adapter. Is there one on Amazon or somewhere? I found one, but it's a "7-pin" S-video adapter, so doesn't look like it would work.

Never played the original arcade Raiden DX much, how does it differ from the PS1 version?

This looks awesome but I guess people who don't already have an LS-30 are SOL, Seimitsu doesn't appear to make them anymore and the last ones on ebay went for $500 for a set of 2 untested ones.

Doesn't look like the one from Happ is easily available either.
