yes you can get a modified Main from the Insert Coin script

if that has been updated to support the newest Main changes. Thats the issue with these forks

Re: Groovy_MiSTer Core

Groovy Mame is a fork of Mame for CRT use. Its inherently no more accurate than Mame. As its a Mame its dependent on the version of Mame used. Merged Roms generally are smaller in size but updating them is more of a pain, unless you use ClrMamePro

Someone made a build to do so, but I dont remember the details, but I have to ask why ? Its a very useful inidcation that the core is doing something.

Where can i load the VHD? Can't find it on the page. From the initial post The extra fun part on MiSTer is the fact we can use the DIVMMC .vhd (you need to just rename the .img file extension) That saddly doesn't help. you should never be applying shadow masks or filters to a CRT. The whole point of a CRT is thats an inherent weakness/strength of the system. Shadow masks were a result of trying to get around a problem with CRT displays

Every time I try to play "Rikki & Vikki" on the 7800 core I just get flashing trash on the screen. Is there some special setting that needs to be enabled for the game to run properly?

It has to be patched

Sorry, I'm a little late to the game...if I want to have a useable n64 core, is it enough to simply follow the instructs at: https://vampier.net/N64/ under the heading, "Updater implementation of the N64 core" ? Re: Groovy_MiSTer Core

But it's not for ANY screen, it's for CRT owners. Plus, the Mister is limited by its own HDMI output, as it can barely do 1440p without Pixel Repetition, so it's never going to do 4k. i agree CRT users are the main target group for Groovy_MiSTer, and will benefit the most from something like this in an arcade cabinet. and i apologize for asking th...

Re: Emulating Hardware

The IO port does not have channels available to do anything like a graphic card. The best device for late 486 and pentiums is a modern PC running DosBox. The current A0486 core occupies most of the FPGA and cant be expanded without a rewrite.

Crash is on this line romName = line.split('#')[1].strip() which is getting a romname by splitting the inout line on the # character and then trying to find the 2nd entry of the split. So that suggets the file its parsing is incorrectly formatted. Its parsing the N64Database.txt at this point So my guess is you have an incorrectly formatted N64Dat...

you dont set a max speed. The fact that the ram counts down is expected in the memory test. It runs if any error occurs it steps down the frequency and tries again. 140 should be ok to run the core. You do say you got it from When I purchased it, an assembled unit was not avail from reputable sources, or I probably would have went that route. so wh...

Re: Saturn Core Hardware issue? SDRAM?

The solution is simple, don’t use dual ram. The core doesn’t primarily use that anymore and obviously it isn’t working right. When done, it will be single ram only so there’s no point in trying dual ram alphas. Disconnect your second ram and be done with it. Sunk cost fallacy and all that. Core works fine with Dual Ram. You are from past posts bia...
