Run

Code: Select all

losetup -a
anything with /dev/loop1XXX remove by typing

Code: Select all

losetup -d /dev/NAME
reboot
run the script again
Thanks again. I removed anything with loop1xxx, there were 8 entries. Still get exactly the same error in the screenshot.

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support

You can skip the double script that is there and download the one in the update folder. If you do that and I change the update script again then you will have to update it manually. Grab the one here, change the base path, and test: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/flynnsbit/Top300_updates/main/_mister/update/AO486_Update_Top300_updater.sh Thanks...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support

Is your disk NTFS or exFAT? Also do you have an ao486 folder somewhere else as well, like the root of your mister? SDCard is NTFS. No other ao486 folder anywhere else. Even tried to see if it was case-sensitive, but no change. The games in the pack run great, and work perfect in ao486. I can see the files, the script is looking for, by logging int...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support

ok, I did it. Wow... Incredible work dude! I've successfully updated. Thanks Just in case anyone else runs into this issue, just make a file called "AO486_Update_Top300_Pack.ini" in the same folder as the .sh script with a single line in it: BASE_PATH=/media/fat of course, you wanna change the path to suit your setup. mine was /media/usb...

Re: Acorn Archimedes Core

No issues with the mouse. I’m using a standard Logitech 2 button usb mouse with scroll-wheel (which also functions as a third mouse button). Thanks for the post, Paul. The mouse works on the first click, then I can't click anything. For example, I can open a disk drive, then one click on a folder and then nothing, no matter what I do. Weird. Perha...

Re: DVD Player Core?

I have a box set of GamesMaster on DVD (classic UK video game themed show) and playing these on a CRT is almost like watching them live again. Me too. I also have them on VHS, and they're the original recordings I made back in the 90s, along with an almost complete Bad Influence, Bits, Computer Show on Sky, etc.. But, I'm not hankering for a watch...

Re: DVD Player Core?

But their original format wouldn't have been interlaced DVD, it would have been 35mm/70mm celluloid film. And then there are the aspect ratios such as anamorphic, Academy format, Super 35, etc... viewing these on a 4:3 CRT TV isn't how it was meant to be viewed. I mean, I wouldn't watch Star Trek the Motion Picture on a poor quality VHS rip, on a C...

Re: DVD Player Core?

Is there some other easy way to play an iso on an old tv through rgb scart? But why would anyone want to do that ? Not trying to be funny, or anything. But, for years, we've been asking for better quality, higher definition movies, and now we have them with Blu-Ray Disks, or H265-encoded rips, or remastered movies using original celluloid transfer...

Re: Display Problems on BBC Core

The only issue with this BBC core is the lack of floppy drive support, so no loading of .ssd or .dsd disk images.
The BEEB.MMB format is a convoluted way of using a BBC Micro. On a real BBC B, the BEEB.MMB format is an older way of using modern sdcards on the BBC. Thankfully, we now have Gotek Flashfloppy drives, or Retroclinic USB harddrives.

Re: Display Problems on BBC Core

They all work fine on real hardware. I have tried them with my BBC Master 128k, ADFS, and an external Gotek Drive with the Flash Floppy firmware.
My Master is fully modded out with a 4-way switchable Multi OS, Raspberry Pi Multi-Core Co-Processor, RetroClinic Compact Flash drive, and the Flash Floppy Drive - so it's not a stock BBC.

One last thing, I ordered the SNAC adapter and 5 add-ons from you, back on 25th Jan. All working great apart from the Atari 2600 one. After a bit of googling, it seems I need the ADC-in board and a 3.5mm audio cable to use paddles ?

Re: OneLoad64 Games Collection v2 Now Released!

It's a real shame the C64 doesn't seem to have a preservation project like the Atari 800, has. The Atari 800 preservation project, much like the Amiga CAPS, preserves original disks to the ATX format, and original cassettes to the CAS format, and not a single crack intro in sight. Not all work on the Mister, but most of the good games work great. A...

Either 2D or 3D acceleration. Would love 3DFX support, but I doubt there is room left in this core.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

Here is my temporary setup, until I get some proper mounts for the Dell. The Mister is in a plastic case under the Philips Monitor. The CRT is a Philips CM8833 Mk2, the menu-only resolution is slightly too high for the Philips, but any lower and the Dell LCD goes mad. The Dell is a 20" 2001FP LCD, and is only for cores that won't output a 15hz...

Personally, I would log into your mister from a PC, check in the config folder if there is a C64.cfg, and delete it. That way, you will start from a fresh cfg.

If you turn on tape sounds you can hear if the tape is starting too soon. None of my tapes were loading, then I turned on tape sounds and it turned out that the tape was playing before I managed to type LOAD. So now, I type LOAD, first, then load a tap file, then start it. Works every time.

Anyone tried a Nintendo Super Scope 6 ?

Got my Mister last week, I have mine connected to a Philips CM8833 Mk2 via VGA to Scart. I also have a SNAC adapter + all the SNAC add-on connections for NES/SNES/ATARI etc..
