The real question is of course: which of the two cores does have the aspect ratio correct?

Re: How to Map a Atari Style Joystick and Keyboard Simultaneously?

Just remap everything with the keyboard only. It will keep the joystick maps. It will not overwrite them. It works fine here. I tried that also, but unfortuntaly it does not work. Coin button (no matter where I map it on the keyboard) does not do anything. For some cores yes, for some not. Is this somekind of "cores not being compatible with ...

Re: Microcomputer Cores Feature Wishlist

There's at least one USB-attached floppy drive that reads Amiga disks, and IIRC, WinUAE already has a driver for it. Getting Minimig to talk to it might not be that difficult. The RMC channel (originally Retro Man Cave) has a video about it. Lemme scare it up. It's not true that there is native usb floppy support - you still need a bridgedevice (a...

Hi, Index is supported on Tapuino too. Ultimate 64 is a FPGA, then this function is implemented. Regards, Shark Yes, that is what I said. It is implemented in non-native devices. They have their own hardware/firmware. Of course, but it's implemented in a FPGA (Ultimate 64 Elite board). The Ultimate64 is not open source, and will not become so for ...

Re: How to Map a Atari Style Joystick and Keyboard Simultaneously?

Try mapping both keyboard and joystick from within the core. MiSTer will store the mapping for your joystick, it will not delete it when you remap again for the keyboard. It really works. I use atari one button joysticks as well. Sorry, but for some reason it does not work at least for Track & field and DDII. I noticed that Track & field w...

Re: How to Map a Atari Style Joystick and Keyboard Simultaneously?

It's pretty straighforward, albeit slightly confusing at first. Map joystick and when finished mapping, simply remap again using keyboard only. Your joystick mapping will stay intact and you can use them both at the same time. Thank you, unfortunately I cannot get it to work for some reason. This is what I do: 1. I first map the joystick (one butt...

The buttons and stick look like standard Sanwa components to me, and since they don't mention anything about the controller board, I suspect that is arduino based. Nothing bad with that by itself - but yes indeed: you will be paying for the woodwork and finishing mostly. (and I suspect they want to have a return on their investment for the vinyl cu...

Re: IREM M72 & M84 Core (R-Type, R-Type II, Image Fight, Ninja Spirit, Gallop : Armed Police Unit)

I am having an issue with the in-core 57/60hz option. When I enable these the game works and get a display, but there is like noise in the picture. I tried on 2 different panels. Issue very visible when enabling a crt shader like Trinitron or PVM. Keep in mind that the core is still in an alpha status. Just wait it out. Core works fine on a crt wi...

Re: Feature Request Add .Tap File Counter (Datassatte Counter) and Jump to the Correct Position

While it is a good idea, the implementation of index files is specific for non-native devices like u64. Addons like 1541u do not support .idx and it is not even complete in VICE as yet, so I don't think it would be a very straightforward job to undertake. Hi, Index is supported on Tapuino too. Re: Steel Ranger : Saving Issues

The behaviour for easyflash crt images is expected - you need to save the crt state from within the osd menu to make saves permanent.

As for the .d64 saving issue: did you format the diskimage first?

Also, where did you find an easyflash release for this game? it was never done in ef format I think

Most searches come up with PAL the video standard, but didn't the Amiga 1000 use Programmable Array Logic (PAL) chips (just for some small purpose, not the customs), a predecessor of FPGA? I always thought that was cool. Almost every machine has been using those since early 80s. Not just amiga. For a an amiga specific list, see https://www.amigawi...

Making cabinet plans freely available, and open sourcing schematics, layouts and drawings is something that everyone supports I think. I also love doing stuff like this completely DIY.
There are quite a few resources scattered online. https://www.classicarcadecabinets.com/ and http://www.arcadecab.com spring to mind.

What do you have in mind? From what I know, the issue is with MiSTer framework, not the hardware itself. That's why there's the need for custom cores.
This one for instance. https://www.axunworks.com/RGB-to-Compos ... 41706.html

I'd avoid using RGB adapters alltogether indeed. Proper rgb-composite solutions do exist - but they would cost you more than a nice secondhand crt which does accept RGB.

Is it correct to assume that rotating the screen is not possible in analogue mode? Unlike TNKIII, Ikari Warriors and Victory Road don't have a rotate option in the dipswitch settings. (These games are rotated counterclockwise, instead of cw like most games - making setup a bit more of a chore than usual. )

Do note that you really want to modify the 8bitdo arcade stick with a restrictor plate or similar if you want to play 4-way games. Without modification games like Pacman are unplayable.

I've tried the latest nightly unstable main too, and no change. What I mean by black screen is that the TV goes completely black, and I cannot even bring up the menu.
