Re: Shared Folder Discussion
btw, my setup of WB3.9 is ClassicWB but it doesn't use Scalos as far as i see. It's normal Workbench and it still has that fantome icon. I think it's "feature" of ClassicWB tweaks.. I had to refresh my memory, but there are 9 distinct versions of classic WB --> http://classicwb.abime.net/index.htm Some use Scalos, some don't. I was using...

Re: Shared Folder Discussion
More... uhm... issues: The ".." and "." are not treated right, they appear to be treated as subfolders, and one can `cd share:../../../..` and "escape" the shared folder all the way to / of the MiSTer, and since the user running the core is root, one can ruin the entire MiSTer from within AmigaOS - isn't that somethin...

Re: Shared Folder Discussion
I also tried it on 3.1 with ClassicWB ADV: The drive icon pops up as "SHARE:Sorg" and you can't open it. This is probably something to do with Scalos which is a Workbench replacement included with ClassicWB ADV. You can go into DirectoryOpus or CLI and access "SHARE:", so it does still work... ClassicWB has additional bug to no...

When it will be robust, it can be used as a normal hard disk drive for something big like WHDLoad collection, so you won't need a big hard drive.

Re: Shared Folder Discussion
known issues: 1) On WB 3.1/3.9 after copy/move/delete the icons, you have to manually choose Window->Update option to get window updated. The root of this issue is unknown. 2) On WB 3.1 if deleting folder isn't empty, the content will be removed while folder itself won't. Just delete it one more time. Technical info: WB creates the lock on folder w...

Re: Update from today broke menu from Gamepad shoulder buttons
You should careful choose the combo for OSD. select+start is also not a good combo as such combo is still used on some consoles. TurboGrafx16 for example use such combo for soft-reset. Other consoles use this combo in games.

Re: Looking for Amiga driver developer
Just tested 3.1.4. Good news: it automatically updates window when file is copied/deleted. Bad news: all files paired with .info are totally invisible on shared disk. Even if you select "show all", they are still invisible in WB. Only if i rename .info to something different then both original file and its .info addon becomes visible. In ...

Re: Looking for Amiga driver developer
Well, i identified a half of deletion problem. I didn't check the locks before delete. Now it doesn't delete locked objects. In WB 3.9 deletion works ok (honestly i didn't test before on 3.9), while 3.1 doing weird thing: If dir is not empty then it copy the lock and then deletes the content, then when it comes to deletion of dir itself it fails si...

Re: Looking for Amiga driver developer
I can guess - is there a ".." in the folder, that points to parent folder on the linux directory, and that from Amiga side looks like a subfolder named ".."? "." and ".." aren't transferred to Amiga. Amiga uses ACTION_PARENT message explicitly wanting to find the parent of current folder, so it's not like si...

Re: Looking for Amiga driver developer
Another, more serious problem: If i try to remove the folder and it's not empty, then workbench remove EVERYTHING from shared folder. This is weirdest behaviour i ever seen. WB examines every directory entry, delete everything, then gets parent directory and deletes everything there and till it hit the root of shared folder! I couldn't identify the...
