Can't turn off turbo mode in Double Dragon

Hi everyone, I searched the MiSTer forums and the Twitter post when Jotego announced the turbo mode for Double Dragon but couldn't find a solution anywhere. I can't turn off this new turbo mode in Double Dragon. I've tried simply toggling it to off and also saving settings and then restarting the core but it's always in turbo mode. Any idea what might be causing this or what I can do to fix it?

In the captured image of Jotego I had the option to turn Turbo on and off, for me this Turbo option did not appear.

Thanks marcelosofth, I love that TV and I’m so glad I didn’t trash it 10 years ago. I won’t be back in front of my MiSTer til tomorrow but you can easily get the latest version of the Double Dragon core by simply updating your MiSTer (Double Dragon is a public core).

I update with update and update_all but Double Dragon doesn't open the Turbo option, if you can send yours I'll be grateful for me to test it here, thanks friend!

Enable jotego beta cores in update_all settings

Yes, that is a problem with Jotego new system: he indicated that he will update JTSTABLE only a few times a year so new cores which become public will only be in jtbin for some time and you have to enable beta core. When you do this you not only get the new public cores but also all his beta cores which you can play only if you are one of his patrons.

No one needs to share it with you, you get it with beta option enabled. The Double Dragon core isn't patreon only, it was a public beta release.

If its not in the public version then you shouldnt be asking for an essentially pirated copy of the core.

The turbo enabled double dragon core is NOT patreon exclusive. It is 'beta' which you can enable in update_all.
I do not have the proper patreon unlock rom at the moment, and the DD core works fine for me and has a turbo option.

Beta cores download from jt_bin repo, which contains both 'beta' and 'patreon' cores. The Patreon cores require an additional ROM zip file to unlock them, otherwise they don't accept any input and show some text about the patreon I believe.

The 'normal' cores download from jt_stable, which is a semi-infrequently updated repo, and is the default.

If your DD doesn't have the turbo setting, you have either not properly enabled beta core downloads for update_all, or some error occurred.

I'm also not a Patreon and have the beta rom. zakk4223: if you switch Turbo to OFF does it go back to the normal gameplay with slowdowns?

Unfortunately I've updated again with update_all and the DD doesn't come with Turbo, dammit!

You have to go into the options with up and choose to turn on Beta cores in the Jotego section

You can download any of the core from his repo. If a core is only available to his patrons it won't run as you do not have the key to unlock it.
