Looking to build my own MiSter and was wondering where the best place (usually means cheapest) to buy the components from in the UK ?

Yup, bought from the same place and they were excellent.
In the case of FPGA cheapest is most definitely not the best place to buy. Cheap addons can easily cause a lot of hassle and even damage to the MiSTer.
