Yeah, I too own both MiSTer and Mist, and I was wondering same thing if Mist too will start to use this forum instead of the Atari-Forums (whenever they get back online).

It's not a problem to create a separate subforum for MiST.
It will depend if MiST community and main devs would like to.

I guess it depends on how much longer it will take Atari Forum to come back to life...

Maybe someone who knows main Mist devs could hint them? It would be good idea to merge Mist community forums here too, they have quite a lot common.

I second that, the MiST community definitely needs also its place here.

Really sad to see the old forum disappear. I also you like the MiST and MiSTer community re-united here.

well... i'm also a fan/user of mist but this is a mister forum with mister domain...
if it starts to accept other fpga, the forum should name itself fpgastuff and not misterfpga

It would be nice if the MIST folks ended up here as well. Having multiple FPGA-based open-source projects in one place would be a good thing.

Hello folks!

Here're my two cents. I think that the collective MiST, MiSTica and SiDi cannot be left without a place. Many of us still have MiSTs up and running. Regardless of whether you have MiSTer or not. Personally I am very happy with the premiere of this new forum. I am convinced that great ideas and better cores will come out of here, I own a MiSTer since almost two years ago.

There are many developers who are still working on MiST and who do not yet have the MISTer and many of those cores are later ported to MiSTer, with all the benefits it brings to the community.

Now, if it is going to be relegated as a subforum, perhaps the MiST community should consider doing the same and create their own site. With each day that passes with the atari-forum closed, many opportunities and possibilities of learning and communication are lost.

So if you intend to create a subforum for MiST, it seems like a good and interesting idea to me. There are many things that converge and that can be exploited for cross-development, especially when it comes to learning.

I suppose there could be a "MiST thread" for people to discuss it there, as a temporary place
