No Emails telling me my topics/posts etc have been replied to even though I have set it up
to do so.

I suggest maybe checking your spam folder, as user set notifications should be going out without issue.

May this issue come from the same problem as the activation mails?
For instance I never received mine on @hotmail

If there is such setting in the board then it should be disabled from my point of view. Otherwise it will generate many messages by e-mail and will be considered as a spam bot.

its not even very useful, as an email notification. its just 'check the forum' but with no content, as to what topic is it regarding, whats the content, if its just a reply or quote. i have turned it off for everything except for pm

Still not getting any notifications whatsoever, and there is nothing in my junk/spam mail box, so these message cannot be going out.

Board notifications are being sent, I can see the mail queue. I would suggest double checking your registration email address.

I just got a notification from this thread so my address is OK
This is the only thread I have received one from.

I have been approving without notification, to avoid mail spam. It's an option for moderators. If it's a problem I can leave the notification checked.
