Noticed an error in Sonic the hedgehog

I went to play sonic 1 today, and I was greeted with this error on the title screen. I deleted the genesis core, reinstalled it. I was hoping that would fix it. It sadly did not, I posted a picture below and MD5 value from the ROM (1BC674BE034E43C96B86487AC69D9293). If this isn't the place to post the issue, would someone please point be to the proper place.

Turn off the extra sprites and it'll solve your problem.

I was being serious, I didn't know what was causing my issue.

Yeah you'll see errors like this with changing the sprite setting. My favorite is in Super Hang-On, a bunch of objects just clip through the ground. Looks really trippy in motion.

It just looks like the Sonic title screen to me. Maybe I'm missing something.

Sonic is not supposed to appear in front of the banner with a deformed right arm.
