You're welcome, well, on my keyboard (AZERTY), the ù is the key at the right side of the M.
I do not have a QWERTY keyboard here to check if the key | (the vertical bar) is present or not and where it is located.

On QWERTY "|" is evoked by Shift+{

It's really odd, none of these versions have worked for me.

Agree, unless we did not use the same core release date, will check this evening which one is on my Mister, and will let you know the one I used. To my recollection it should be the latest one but need to double check.

@akeley, @catenaccio,

I"ve double checked on my Mister with the latest core from the 211212 and also with the previous one 210227 and the game works on both.
But to get it working, you've to pay attention to disable the Multiface 2.
Here is below my Hardware setting :

Mouse : Disabled
Right Shifr : Backslash
Keypad : Numbers

Multiface 2: Disabled
CPU Timings : Original
FDC : Original

Distributor : Amstrad
Model : CPC 6128

Could you both try those settings on your side and rerun the game ?

That did the trick, thank you! Good to know this sometimes might affect things on Ye Ol' CPC.

Retested with Multiface 2 disabled and now is working here loading with "|CPM", that made the trick

Load a Tape file :
1) Load your tape file (cdt) through the OSD menu (F12)
2) ùTAPE (Azerty Keyboard)
2) |TAPE (Qwerty keyboard)
3) RUN"

Wow, thanks for the tip!

I was having trouble trying to load several disks, all refused to work and I noticed that they had in common to be protected with Speedlock D7
I thought it could be the core that wasn't able to cope with this particular protection, but after disabling Multiface 2 now all of them load OK

Thanks!

ok, I can load this X-mem correctly (3.16 FRENCH) but looks like I cannot create a virtual storage file (C:).
I can see 512ko of RAM.
BTW, do you have the 3.16 UK version?

merci!
X-mass (like the M4wifi) can be a very good point for our CPC Core.
A small storage support will be so nice to put files on it like games and demos.

Hello everyone,

Any ideas why for me the CPC core runs on a small window instead of scaling up to fit the screen? It's weird, every other core works great...

This core is superb, and looks (on a CRT), and sounds 1-1 with my real Amstrad 6128.
I'm just wondering if a Sony PVM 20" will look too sharp for that CRT look ? For these old 8-bit machines. I always used the CRT monitor that came with my Amstrad, during the 80s. Currently using a 28" BenQ LCD Monitor, and not happy with how it looks, too flat and lifeless. I have borrowed a Sony CRT TV, and that looked superb, as close to the real thing as you could get, but it's too big, a 28" TV that weighs a tonne.

It's not as much about "sharpness" but different way of displaying the image. Amstrad monitors use slot masks while Trinitrons aperture grille, and even that differs between consumer and PVM ones. You can check this post/thread for more info on CTM monitors. The image from them does not look like the one on scanline-heavy PVMs, a consumer Trinitron is a bit closer perhaps. So if you want authenticity without actually getting a CTM, look out for a 14-21" consumer set, preferably non-Sony, since they use the same tech.

Or just get any smaller/medium & decent CRT and be happy, the *mask details are really not that relevant - as long as it's a tube, glass & phosphors, it's all good ;)
