As far as I know, jotego basically does a public release when he no longer considers a core to be in a "beta" state. The core is fairly stable now from a casual perspective, but I believe there's still at least one major bug that hasn't been fixed yet.

Unfortunately there is no set time for this. You either pay, or else enjoy the other cool stuff until it is eventually released.

What are you talking about? This is a very serious situation. Although a long list of titles already work correctly, I still have another long list of titles to fix before making a public release. This is the list of missing games as of today. Anyway, if you want to enjoy the ~100 games working and support the development, you know where to go.
