Question regarding the Darksoft roms

I am reorganizing my roms and comparing the romset.xml with the roms I have, I noticed I have some missing. I will have to find them but I am not sure if they are all missing.
Example:
<romset name="fatfursp,ftfurspa,fatfurspa" pcm="1" altname="Fatal Fury Special" altnamej="Garou Densetsu Special" publisher="SNK" year="1993"/>
Are they 3 different roms or only 2?
I cannot find fatfurspa but I wonder if ftfurspa and fatfurspa are the same roms with different spelling.
I have a few like these.
Others seems like they are different roms like
<romset name="kof99,kof99e,kof99h" sma="1" pcm="1" altname="King of Fighters '99, The: Millennium Battle" publisher="SNK" year="1999" ram="2"/>
So far I am unable to find koff99h.
I also have a few like these.
Any idea?

These are just alternative roms. Not needed in my opinion.

Does this core still need darksoft roms or does it finally support decrypting original roms?

The below is from the Neo Geo core GitHub page.
  • Compatible with Darksoft ROM sets using provided XML
  • Compatible with decrypted MAME ROM sets using your own XML
  • Compatible with decrypted .neo ROM sets
  • Compatible with gog.com ROMs using provided XML
Core doesn't support encrypted ROMs. Make sure the ROM has no encrypted parts before use. MAME ROM pack includes many encrypted ROMs so it's not recommended for inexperienced users.
