No vsync_adjust settings working for Truxton

I use a flat panel Samsung 1080p TV and many arcade cores will only display with vsync_adjust=0, which is fine.

My problem is : regarding the current beta Zerowing core, which now supports Truxton, I have to set vsync_adjust=0 for Zerowing to sync with my TV and it works fine, but Truxton does not work, giving the usual message that my TV doesn't support the resolution.
I have tried all possible video_mode resolution settings up to 1080p with vsync_adjust=0 and all other vsync_adjust numbers but I cannot get Truxton to display with any of them.

Other than changing video_mode and vsync_adjust, can anybody suggest other settings I can adjust?
