CPS1 reboots 90% of the time I try to run a core

About 9/10 times I try to start a CPS1 game the MISTER reboots and it doesn't work. Occasionally it does work and I havent been able to find any pattern to it. This happens with 2 different MISTers. I'm about to try a new SD card, but since all the other cores work, I doubt that's the problem. The only thing I can think of is maybe I have the wrong zip files? I know you can't point me at the files I need but maybe you could give me hints what to search for.....

If it happens on 2 different MiSTers then it has to be the SD card, or the files on the card. Make a new card from the installer, then run the update scripts, and then the retrodriven script and it should get all the correct files for you.

Before making a new card, try re-downloading the rbf file.

ok I tried a new SD card, and a new RBF. Still has the same problem.

I narrowed it down though, as soon as I unplug my analog video and use HDMI it seems to work fine. It seems like the Mister doesn't work well with analog video, a bummer for me since I was loving the CRT.

You have one of those power supply switches? Try removing that.

Are you using the I/O board for analog video or are you using direct video through a hdmi > vga converter? I use the I/O board and analog video with no issues. CPS1 core works great.

Does the CPS1 core require the SDRAM?

I think so but I´m not 100% sure.

Yes I am using an inline power switch, I'll try removing that next time I have problems. I upgraded the power supply but I never really considered that the switch might be causing problems.

Removed the power switch and so far so good!
