Noticed a weird glitch in SMB3 in world 4-5 when exiting the secret room in the level:

I don’t ever recall this from a real NES but I could be mistaken… can someone confirm?

How to repro:
Get to world 4-5. About halfway you will come across some bullet bills with a single brick at the top of the screen. Hit it to make a vine pop out, then climb the vine to the pipe. Enter and exit the pipe.

Savestate (just enter the pipe):
