save data for C64 game run out of a .zip?

Unread post by offset »

Sorry if this is a noob question.

If I'm running a C64 game (ie. D64) from within a zip, where is the character and game data saved? Is there a separate file elsewhere or is the .zip changed?

Example games:

Questron
Bard's Tale

I don't think it works at all. Uncompress them.

hello, when running a C64 game from within a zip file, the character and game data are typically not saved separately or changed within the zip file itself. The zip file acts as an archive that contains the necessary files for the game, including the game executable (.d64 file in this case) and any additional data files.
