PSX Core Not Loading Games E2

I use Update_All script to keep everything updated and to grab all the BIOS files...

I have even tried using the latest nightly unstable mister build and no dice.

I am using BIN/CUE games each in their own folder with the same file name.

the BIOS loads when I load the core and I hear the startup sound and see Sony Computer Entertainment then it goes to the CD Player / Menu or whatever blue colored screen and I try to load a game from there and get either E2 or just a Black Screen.

I am loading games from SMB over the network, other cores doing the same and working fine.

I thought maybe it's a weird problem with the HDMI signal and my TV, so I took the VGA output from the mister and ran that through my OSSC and no dice. I think I probably wouldn't even see the Playstation BIOS boot animation if I had a display issue?

I don't know what to try next. Tried sourcing another BIOS file and no change.

The Redump Bin/cues are the recomended source, I would try using them.

I know there was a beta of the MiSTer that worked with single .bin+cue games:

I thought it was integrated into the current version by now, but if you're still having problems you might want to convert your images to chd, that worked for me.

Found an issue with my mister multisystem build related to the ram, so I'll post back here if there's still an issue after I swap out the incorrect IC...

My situation with the PS1 core is now resolved, memtest shows #3 indicating 128MB after replacing the correct IC for U1 on my multisystem.
