Confused About ROM Placement?

Unread post by clint »

Hi,

I have the htgdb-gamepack's from archive.org

I mainly figured out where the zips go etc but some are confusing such as the darksoft packs e.g Darksoft CPS2 2020-05-24.7z

Which folder do they go in on /media/fat/games ?

Is there a guide for these packs?

Thanks

See this post, at least as a starting point. Based off of what you said you might simply be overlooking them if you’ve run an update all script and had it pull arcade roms. My mister is on my desk at work so I can’t check right now.

HTGDB is curated for using on EverDrives!!
For MiSTer, HTGDB has an indication of an “@“ sign if a certain pack is compatible.

After you run the update script all the folders in /media/fat/games should be made correctly. For the cps2 games you just want to put the mame roms directly in the mame folder in there. Darksoft arcade packs are not made for use with MiSTer, they are for og hardware.

The folders for each core are listed in these two links above.
