MT32-Pi No Return Audio to MiSTer

Hi,

Only new to the mister project and has been working great except having issues with getting MIDI working.

I am trying to get MIDI sounds with Mister using Pi 4 with MT32 software.

I have a vanilla DE10-nano (no addon boards) and a Pi 4 connected with jumper wires.

The Pi was installed using the mt32-pi installer script from here.
https://github.com/dwhinham/mt32-pi/wik ... -and-usage

I wired as per the instructions from here.
https://github.com/dwhinham/mt32-pi/wik ... ace-pinout

The onscreen display in Mister shows the audio bars going up and down during games (testing using DOS/X68000)
When setting the mt32-pi.cfg output_device to pwm I can hear the MIDI from the headphone port on the Pi.

I have tried the following but still have issues. (ouput_device = i2s)
Reinstalled the Pi (multiple times)
Powering the pi from external power or from the de10-nano
Replaced all the jumper wires (checked pins numerous times)
Tried a different Pi 4

Can anyone help me, or tell me how I can daignose some more (logs etc...)

Cheers,

what DOS game and how did you install it?
I assume the connection is GPIO to GPIO?

Also possibly check the settings under UART mode? Should be between "Reset player assignment" and "Video processing" in the in-game menu.

Thanks for your reply,

0mhz collection, mt-32 games Dune II, space quest etc...

Yes GPIO to GPIO

Not sure what fixed it, but it is now working afer moving it into a custom case. (maybe the case pushing down on the jumper wire connections)
